The Nazis punished those who said or wrote things that offended them. Now self-styled anti-gun Democrat Kevin Chin ("Offensive message or dire warning?" April 17) is proposing that the Montgomery County Republican Central Committee punish Augustus Alzona for daring to express himself.
Perhaps Alzona's cartoon depicting anti-gun Democrats as Nazis was not so far off the mark.

Apparently the so-called "progressive" people of Montgomery County place political correctness over the individual constitutional right of free speech.
Maybe they believe that "pro-liberty extremists" like Augustus Alzona should be disarmed and silenced.
Is it the goal of "progressive" people in this county, or even the state, to sacrifice individual rights, personal freedoms and civil liberties in order to achieve a "liberal utopia" for the greater good?
