I am extremely encouraged by the results of the contested primaries, which showed several first-time candidates emerging from the pack who show tremendous potential and promise. Of particular note are House of Delegate candidates Herman Taylor and Brian Feldman, the leading vote-getters in Districts 14 and 15, respectively; Rich Madaleno and Anna Sol Gutierrez in District 18, and Gareth Murray in District 20. The rich diversity represented by this group is particularly noteworthy.
