The two proposed alignments for the water main where a trench is dug, the pipe is laid and covered are:

*following I-270 from Tuckerman Lane south to Grosvenor Lane, then along Beach Drive to Stoneybrook Drive;

*following I-270 from Tuckerman Lane south to Grosvenor Lane, then roughly following alongside I-495 to Stoneybrook Drive.

The four proposed alignments for the water main where the pipe would be installed underground are:

*following Tilden Lane to Nicholson Lane, then running along the CSX Railroad tracks to Stoneybrook Drive;

*following Tuckerman Lane south to the intersection of Kings Riding Way, through Rock Creek Park to Stoneybrook Drive;

*following Tuckerman Lane south to the intersection of Kings Riding Way, through Rock Creek Park to Saul Road and ending at Stoneybrook Drive;

*following I-270 south, then roughly following along I-495 to Stoneybrook Drive.

The three proposed alignments that would use a combination of the two methods are:

*following north from Tuckerman Lane to Tilden and Nicholson lanes, south along the CSX track to Stoneybrook Drive;

*following I-270 south to Grosvenor Lane, the roughly following Beach Drive through Rock Creek Park;

*following I-270 south, then roughly following along I-495 to Stoneybrook Drive.
