Overview
Montgomery College, established in 1946, is widely recognized for the quality of its academic programs in liberal arts, sciences, businesses, and technology. More than 100 degree and certificate programs prepare students to earn an associate’s degree, enter the workforce, or transfer to four-year institutions. The New York Times recently recognized Montgomery College as one of the top colleges for preparing students to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. In addition, The College has a wide range of career and technical programs, in such fields as automotive technology, building trades, radiologic technology and biotechnology.
Among the college's signature academic programs are: Montgomery Scholars, a selective honors program that provides students with a summer study opportunity at the University of Cambridge in England; the Macklin Business Institute Scholars, an honors program for business students; and the Renaissance Scholars, an intensive honors program offered for students in the evenings.
