The following is a summary of incidents in the upcounty to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
5th District
Aggravated assault
- On June 13 at 5:50 p.m. in the 12400 block of Great Park Circle in Germantown. Domestic related. A man stabbed a woman with a knife.
Attempted strong-arm robbery/assault
- On June 12 at 8:15 p.m. at Midridge and Frederick roads in Clarksburg. A woman stated she was walking when two men approached and assaulted her. She was able to flee before they took any property.
Strong-arm robbery
- On June 10 at 7:15 a.m. at Clarksburg High School, 22500 Wims Road. A group of students were arguing and fighting in a hallway when the victim's personal property was taken. Four students were arrested.
Vehicle theft
- 12900 block of Pickering Drive in Germantown, at 4:40 a.m. June 11. A 2002 Kawasaki motorcycle was stolen.
- 13200 block of Country Ridge Drive in Germantown, overnight between June 10 and 11. A 1993 blue Dodge van was stolen.
- 12800 block of Locbury Circle in Germantown, overnight between June 11 and 12. A 2000 Honda 929 motorcycle was stolen.
Vehicle larceny
- 12900 block of Churchill Ridge Circle in Germantown, at 6 p.m. June 10. The victim saw two robbers break his vehicle window and gave chase. Responding officers were able to arrest the two and recover property from other thefts from vehicles.
Commercial burglary
- Damascus Nails, 26025 Ridge Road in Damascus, between June 13 and 15. Forced entry; property taken.
- Mimi Nails and More, 9805 Main St. in Damascus, at 4:08 a.m. June 15. Forced entry; property taken.
- Open MRI, 19847 Century Blvd. in Germantown, between 6:21 p.m. June 11 and 8 a.m. June 12. No forced entry; property taken.
Residential burglary
- 18500 block of Split Rock Lane in Germantown, between 1 and 4:30 p.m. June 13. Entry attempted, none gained; nothing taken.
- 21300 block of Bunyan Circle in Clarksburg, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. June 10. No forced entry; property taken.
