Holy Family mines Frederick basketball talent

Two basketball players with Frederick ties will play for NCAA Division II Holy Family University in Philadelphia this upcoming season.
Jawara Stephenson will transfer from Frederick Community College for his junior season.
The 6-foot 10 inch forward set school records for blocks in a game, season and career. He was All-Maryland JUCO honorable mention this past season, averaging 10.8 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game.
Trenton Epps, a 6-5 combo forward, poured 11.3 points and grabbed 7.2 rebounds per game last season as a senior year at St. John's-Catholic Prep.
He was a three-year starter and an All-Gazette Honorable Mention selection during the 2007-08 season, shooting 54 percent from the field in his high school career.
Outlaws looking for cheeleaders
The Frederick Outlaws Semi-Pro Football Team's new Pom-Cheer Squad is now forming for the 2008-09 season.
Girls ages 14-18 are asked to try out for the squad which will participate in sideline cheering, half time performances, charity events with the football team as well as other activities.
