The Maryland Elite Baseball Club teams will hold 12-and-under and 13-and-under tryouts for their 2009 Spring tournament season on September 13-14 and 27-28 at a site to be determined.
Elite teams are premier tournament program looking for serious players that have a desire to improve their skill level. The club maintains its own indoor batting facility at no expense to the player. The program plays 10 tournaments March through July.

The Maryland Monarchs Under-14 Baseball Club will hold tryouts for September 6, 13 and 20 for the 2009 spring season.
The Sykesville-based Baltimore Metro Baseball League organization boasts premier players from three separate counties and is looking for serious players who want to improve for the beginning their high school career.
Players must be born on or after May 1, 1994. Any prospective player formerly playing on another BMBL team must sign a release before trying out for any other team in the league.

The Maryland Cardinals Baseball Club 12-under team will hold tryouts for their spring 2009 teams on August 31, Sept. 21 and 28 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The team is also looking for fall 2008 players.

The Tony Dello Baseball and Women's fast-pitch softball hitting clinics will take place in September at Hood College in Frederick.
Clinics for Beginners and intermediates ages 10-13 will be conducted Sept 6 and 7 from 9 a.m. until noon, while the advanced clinics (ages 14-18) will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Cost for the two-day clinic is $95 per participant.

The FYSA downed the Mount Airy Bulldogs 13-0 this past Saturday after struggling to a scoreless tie after the first two quarters.
Brison Hopper gave the winners their first score on a 90-yard burst. Jacoby Lott rushed for the extra point. Sugar Markward scored the second touchdown on a 25-yard run. The FYSA offensive line was led by Brandon Lavern, Minase Shivera, Patick Perret, Blake Smith, Brennan Stup, Micheal Zimmer, Justin Marshall.
Hopper also had an interception, and the defensive line was also led by the efforts of Stup, Lavern, Zimmer and Markward.
