Police are investigating the possible abduction Oct. 1 of a young woman walking near Kirby Road and Colchester Drive in Suitland.
Officers responded to an alleged abduction call at 9 a.m. and spoke to a witness who said she saw a young woman being pulled into an older model white-colored minivan by an unknown suspect.
However, no one has reported a missing person matching a similar description and no one has come forward to say they were abducted and dropped off, the Prince George's County Police department said Tuesday.
Abductions are "not a common occurrence, especially in this area," said Henry Tippett, a police spokesman.
Police are seeking information from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident.
The alleged victim is described as a white or Hispanic female with black hair and approximately 16 to 21 years old.
She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue polo shirt and a blue The North Face jacket.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Prince George's County Police Department District 5 investigative section at 301-856-3130.
