Eugene and Janice Payne of Accokeek plan to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on Oct. 12.
They were married at Little Rock Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., by the Rev. Clarence B. Richardson and have resided in Accokeek for about 22 years.
They are the parents of three adult children, Lamont, Shant'e and Eugene III, and they have four grandchildren.
