County police reports

The following is a summary of incidents in the 1st District (Rockville) and the 4th District (Wheaton-Glenmont) to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
1st District
Aggravated assault
-On Oct. 11, in the 800 block of 1st Street in Rockville. Domestic related.
Strong-arm robbery
-On Oct. 11 at 3:15 p.m., in the 1100 block of Broadwood Drive in Rockville. A man was riding a bicycle when a vehicle drove alongside him. One man got out and assaulted him and a second searched his pockets and removed his property. All assailants got back into the vehicle and fled. The vehicle is described as a dark-colored, four-door compact vehicle.
-On Oct. 8 at 5:40 p.m., in the 2100 block of Veirs Mill Road in Rockville. The victim was sitting at the bus stop when a man approached and demanded his property and then struck the victim several times. A 27-year-old male from Silver Spring was arrested at the scene.
Vehicle larceny
-7400 block of Westmore Road in Rockville, between at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 5 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 6. Broke window; GPS taken.
-500 block of Hungerford Drive in Rockville, on Oct. 6. Broke window; GPS taken.
-On Oct. 12 during daytime hours, at the Shady Grove Metro station. Catalytic converters removed from five Toyota vehicles.
-1600 block of East Jefferson Street in Rockville, between 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9 and 9:30 a.m. Oct. 10. Broke window; GPS taken.
-1000 block of Rockville Pike in Rockville, between 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 and 7:50 a.m. Oct. 11. Suspects forced entry and tried to remove the in-dash stereo system, causing extensive damage.
-200 block of Congressional Lane in Rockville, on Oct. 13. Vehicle left unlocked; nothing taken.
-1600 block of East Jefferson Street in Rockville, on Oct. 13. Vehicle left unlocked; GPS, cell phone charger taken.
-200 block of Congressional Lane in Rockville, at an unknown time on Oct. 13. Vehicle left unlocked, tools taken.
-On Crofton Hill Court in Rockville, overnight between Oct. 7 and 8. Broke window; credit card taken.
-12400 block of Ansin Circle Drive in Rockville, between 10 p.m. Oct. 7 and 6 a.m. Oct. 8. Broke window; stereo, GPS taken.
-11800 block of Goya Drive in Rockville, between 10 p.m. Oct. 7 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 8. Broke window; garage door opener taken.
-7500 block of Heatherton Lane in Potomac, overnight between Oct. 7 and 8. Vehicle left unlocked; stereo, tools, CDs taken.
-7900 block of Ivymount Terrace in Potomac, between 4:30 and 4:50 a.m. Oct. 7. A citizen observed a male inside two vehicles and called the police.
-1700 block of Glastonberry Road in Potomac, at 2:07 a.m. on Oct. 14. The victim heard her vehicle alarm activate and saw the window broken and the door open. Purse was taken.
-11300 block of Hidden Hollow Court in North Potomac, between 9:30 p.m. Oct. 7 and 7:45 p.m. Oct. 8. Broke window; purse, GPS, clothing taken.
-9300 block of Glen Road in Potomac, between 11 p.m. Oct. 7 and 7 a.m. Oct. 8. Broke window; duffle bag with clothes, camera, cash taken.
Residential burglary
-12200 block of Braxfield Court in Rockville, between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9. Forced entry; property taken.
-400 block of Lincoln Street in Rockville, at 2:55 p.m. Oct. 7. The victim observed three cars full of men approach and fled to his home for safety. The men tried to force entry but fled in the vehicles after not being able to get in. The suspect vehicles are described as a light green vehicle, a silver two2-door vehicle and a black Honda Civic
-500 block of Hungerford Drive in Rockville, between noon and 6 p.m. Oct. 7. Forced entry; property taken.
4th District
Aggravated assault
-On Oct. 8 at 6:30 a.m., in the 3100 block of Hewitt Avenue in Aspen Hill. Assault with a knife. The female victim and male suspect are known to one another.
-On Oct. 5 at 8:54 p.m., in the 3400 block of Embry Street in Wheaton. Assault with a gun. Domestic related.
Aggravated assault/theft
-On Oct. 9 at 5 p.m. at McDonald's, 504 E. Randolph Road in Wheaton. The victim was eating when two males, who are known to the victim, asked to see an iPod and then refused to return it. One assailant displayed a knife and the victim gave up his personal property. The males fled on foot.
Sex assault
-On Oct. 10 at 5 p.m. in the Laundromat at 12407 Georgia Ave. in Wheaton. A female reported that the suspect touched her inappropriately from behind. The suspect was allegedly bothering other women in the business as well. A 42-year-old male from Silver Spring was arrested.
Strong-arm robbery
-On Oct. 8 at 10:10 p.m., in the 18000 block of Loganberry Court in Sandy Spring. Pizza and delivery bag taken from a delivery person after a bogus order was placed.
-On Oct. 5 at 7:15 a.m., in the 200 block of Hillsboro Drive in Kemp Mill. Three residents of a group home in the 600 block of Hyde Road were located near the scene and later arrested. Two 15-year-old males and a 17-year-old male, all from Silver Spring, were arrested.
-On Oct. 12 at 2:30 p.m. in the 10900 block of Breewood Road in Kemp Mill. The victim walked past a vehicle and a man punched the victim and took personal property. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-color, new Nissan Sentra.
-On Sept. 30 at 9:50 p.m., in the 2500 block of Kensington Boulevard in Kensington. A man was locked out of his vehicle and three males demanded and received money from him. The suspect vehicle is described as a gray four-door.
Vehicle larceny
-2900 block of Hewitt Avenue in Aspen Hill, between 9 p.m. Oct. 5 and 6 a.m. Oct. 6. Airbags taken from a 2001 Honda Civic.
-Area near the 3900 block of Littleton Street and the 12700 block of Bushey Drive in Wheaton, between the afternoon of Oct. 7 and 11. Thirteen vehicles targeted. A 21-year-old male was arrested; not known if he is connected to all incidents.
Commercial burglary
-K-Mart, 14014 Connecticut Ave. in Aspen Hill, on Oct. 10. Forced entry, property taken
Residential burglary
-14200 block of Chesterfield Road in Rockville, at 10:50 p.m. Oct. 5. The suspect is known to the victim.
-3900 block of Havard Street in Wheaton, between 10:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Oct. 8. No forced entry; property taken.
-11900 block of Andrew Street in Wheaton, between Oct. 1 and 2. A 40-year-old male from Wheaton was arrested.
-12000 block of Atherton Drive in Wheaton, during the early morning hours on Oct. 5. A 26-year-old male from Wheaton and another male were arrested.
