Richard Jeff Gregory Sr., 38, of Laytonsville died suddenly on Oct. 29, 2009, at Montgomery General Hospital in Olney.
Born Dec. 14, 1970, in Olney, he was the son of Richard L. and Linda Young Gregory of Damascus.
He was the husband of Cheryl A. Gregory.
Mr. Gregory was a 1989 graduate of Damascus High School. He was a truck driver for his family's
business and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Damascus. His hobbies included hunting and four-wheeling.
Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include two sons, Richard Gregory Jr. and Scott Gregory, both of Laytonsville; grandmothers Nancy Young of Damascus and Mozell Gregory of Emmitsburg; mother-in-law and father-in-law Janet and Rick Kendall of Damascus; and a sister, Stephanie Gregory of Damascus.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers Francis E. Gregory Sr. and Jeff Young Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Damascus. Burial was in All Souls Cemetery in Germantown.
Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home in Damascus handled arrangements.
