The Frederick Cultural Arts Center will feature up to 100 wreaths and trees on display for the month of November in anticipation of Frederick's Festival of Greens. An opening reception will be held from 5-9 p.m. Saturday at the arts center, 15 W. Patrick St., Frederick.

Wreaths and trees have been decorated by artists, businesses, school groups, nonprofit organizations, and other local residents. Each piece is available for purchase through a silent auction that ends at the end of the month, with the proceeds benefiting the arts in Frederick County.

There is still time for individuals to submit additional wreaths and trees for the second annual Frederick Festival of Greens, scheduled for Nov. 21-29. The event, sponsored by Gaver Holdings, is a unique celebration of the arts and the holidays with various activities planned throughout the nine days. Theater performances, a Holly Dance, holiday artist market, children's activities, and more events are planned to coincide with the festival.
