James Douglass Hill, 73, of Mount Airy, died Oct. 25, 2009, at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. He was the husband of Dorothy Louise Hill.
Born Aug. 6, 1936 in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Edward W. and Laura Phillips Hill.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter Kathleen Hill of Silver Spring and brother and sister-in-law John and Bette Hill of Silver Spring.
Friends gathered Oct. 29 at Molesworth-Williams P.A., Funeral Home, Damascus. Funeral services were held Oct. 30 at the funeral home. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mount Airy.
