Good Counsel 11 set for college lacrosse
Class of 2010 includes nine Division-I commits
The Good Counsel girls lacrosse team's class of 2010 will be well represented in the NCAA next year.
Nine of the 11 outgoing seniors have signed with Division I lacrosse programs. According to head coach Michael Haight, the number of D-I signees is the most from one school in a single year in county history.
Over the past three seasons, the senior class has guided the Falcons to a 50-11 record and extended their run of six consecutive Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championships.
They finished this past season ranked No. 12 in the country, according to lacrosse Web site laxpower.com. From 2006-08, the Falcons were considered the 19th most dominant prep program nationwide by Inside Lacrosse.
The list of commits includes Molly Shawhan (Notre Dame), Christina Sheridan (Boston University), Kaitlin Sheridan (Towson), Shannon Lechner (Towson), Brea Dobbs (Towson), Rachel Forman (Jacksonville), Emily Cunningham (Dusquesne), Chelsey Hipp (Indiana-Pa.), Katelyn McAleer (Robert Morris), Jamie D'Arco (Hofstra), Pauline Peacock (Pfeiffer).
